All of our instructors are Fire Service Professionals that are actively assigned to, and involved in Technical Rescue Operations

Andy Lancaster: Owner, Texas Rescue;

Retired after 25 1/2 years of service with the Irving TX Fire Dept., Set up the Irving FD High Angle Rescue Team in 1991. Technical Rescue Instructor for High Angle Rescue, Confined Space Rescue, Trench rescue, Wind Turbines, Industrial Rescue, and Tactical Insertion. He currently holds a TCFP Advanced Firefighter Certification, Intermediate Instructors Certificate, and Field Examiner Certificate. He is a graduate of the National Fire Academy's Fire Service Course Design Class, and the Training Program Management class. He is also a staff Instructor specializing in Heavy Rescue for Response International Group ; Oklahoma City. Andy has provided training for various Fire Departments, Search & Rescue Groups, U.S.M.C., US Navy, US Army, major electric providers, oil companies, refineries, food processing companies, police agencies, and a variety of other industries. Andy is a Private Pilot and, also a motorcycle enthusiast and is a Motorcycle Safety Foundation Rider Coach.

 

Scott Walker

 Driver Engineer/Paramedic

Lead Instructor for High Angle, Confined Space, Wind Turbines

Scott is a Driver/Engineer for the Colony TX Fire Department, he has been with them for 8 years, previous to that he worked for the Athens Tx. Fire Department for 4 years.

Scott is a TCFP Level II instructor, Certified Fire Investigator, and holds an Advanced FF certification from the TCFP, he is also the Assistant Chief for the South Van Zandt County Fire Department.

 Paul Wooton, Driver Engineer/Paramedic

Lead Instructor for; High Angle Rescue, Confined Space Rescue, Heavy Rescue, Trench Rescue & Tractel Training

Paul has been with the Irving TX Fire Dept. for over 15 years, and has been assigned to the departments High Angle Rescue Team for 8 years. He has a background in pipeline construction, welding, and trench operations.

Paul is also an Instructor for R.I.G. in Oklahoma City specializing in Heavy Rescue classes.

 Heath Morris, FF/Paramedic

Lead Instructor for ; High Angle Rescue, Confined Space Rescue

Heath has been with the Irving TX Fire Department for 13 years, and has been assigned to the departments High Angle Rescue Team for most of that time. He is also the Fire Chief for the South Van Zandt County Volunteer Fire Department.

Heath has a degree from Tarlton State University, and has a background in Farm and Agriculture equipment.

 

 Bill Gallina

Instructor/ EMT

Lead Instructor: High Angle, Confined Space, Wind Turbine

Bill is a 25 year veteran and 2nd Driver for the Carrollton TX Fire Dept. Bill is assigned to the Technical Rescue Team and has been involved in Rescue for the past 20 years. He holds a TCFP Advanced Fire Fighter Certification, and Level I Instructor certification.

Bill has been competing with our team in various Technical Rescue Competitions over the last 10 years.

Richard "Rebel" Burkhalter

Lead Instructor/Paramedic

Lead Instructor for High Angle, Confined Space, Wind Turbines

Rebel, is a Driver/Engineer/Paramedic for the Irving, TX Fire Dept. with 21 yrs experience. He was Army Airborne Infantry prior to going to work with Irving. Rebel has been involved with Technical Rescue for most of his career. He is a TCFP Advanced FF, and NFA Instructor I.  He is a certified PADI diver.

Rebel has competed with our Team in various Technical Rescue Competitions over the last 12 years and has been instructing with Texas Rescue for over 5 years.
